How We Got into Alaskan Malamutes
We first met Siberian Huskies in about 1991. We could not take our eyes of them, we just sat there watching most of the day they were the most amazing things we had ever seen!!! It went from there; we looked into a couple of books about the spitz breeds. We were drawn to the Alaskan Malamute more as they seemed to be a more homely breed.
To find out how we got our first Alaskan Malamute please see Flynn’s Page.
April 2006 we lost both Hollie and Flynn (aged 11 ½) we will never forget them, and they will always be in our hearts. They were both very exceptional dogs and taught us a lot about Alaskan Malamutes. We are our now down to 2 Alaskan Malamutes Dakota and Blaze (mother & son) we are now looking to increase our pack size as we miss the interaction of a pack, and want to continue to show and work our dogs.
Security and Identification is one of our top priorities, as dog theft is very
common these days. Also Malamutes are known as escape artists, even though our
property is properly secure there is always a worry they will find a hole somewhere.
Their safety and relocation if lost is our main priority!!!!
All our dogs are tattooed (National
Dog Tattoo Register) and have Microchip numbers (Pet
Log). Our property is fully secured, with CCTV in operation at all times.
Whenever they are walked they have their own collars, with Identification including
their name, and our phone number. All our puppies that we breed will also leave
our home with both a tattoo and a Microchip. This is to ensure the safety and
security of all our puppies we breed.
We hope you enjoy our website, and if you have any ideas on how to improve the site, we will love to hear from you.
Regards
Hayley & Jason Henworth
